This is such a simple idea I found online, but it is helping me SO MUCH with keeping organized this school year! I’m constantly making lists of what to do, this helps me.

Papers have been piling up on my desk at school, I need to reorganize that this week.

I may create another one of things to do at home….. Because it is SO HELPFUL.

today was the second day i worked on setting up my classroom. i organized all curriculum and have a spot for mostly all supplies, books, and varied forms of instruction. this took me approximately 6 hours to accomplish and i’m not completely in love with it. an old, decrepit blue bookshelf became the bane of my existence for about an hour. i could not find the perfect place for it in the space it needs to be in, so eventually i settled. i don’t like settling.  

for this reason and many others, “it is a start” has become my mantra.

tomorrow after new teacher orientation, i’m going to categorize books in my library and start getting the bulletin boards up. i will be using Daily 5 and CAFE for reading workshop, so i will start with those bulletins. i want to make sure all my other wall space is used purposefully and anchors new learning. i have so much to think about.
